Kroger Co helps feeds America's hungry

The Kroger Co donated 20 million pounds of food to America's Second Harvest in 2002, the domestic hunger relief organization. Valued at $35 million, the donation ranked among the largest in the Cincinnati OH-based retail grocery giant's history. Retail divisions of Kroger work with more than 40 regional food banks around the nation that are affiliated with Second Harvest. In the past three years, Kroger twice has been named National Retailer of the Year by America's Second Harvest.
