Sysco’s next RDC coming to Indiana site

Sysco Corp, the Houston TX-based foodservice marketer and distributor, has bought property in Hamlet IN for its Midwest Cooperative Redistribution Center (RDC). This facility is expected to create about 500 new jobs. Sysco affiliate Baugh Midwest Cooperative acquired 320 acres for the RDC, and the Starke County Development Foundation purchased 24 acres for infrastructure. Construction is expected to start in summer 2007, with completion anticipated in about 12 to 18 months.
