USCS to constructrefrigerated warehouse

United States Cold Storage plans to open a refrigerated warehouse in Lebanon IN during summer 2009. The Cherry Hill NJ-based company will invest $38 million to construct the 300,000-square-foot facility. Management and warehouse employees will begin to be hired in January 2009, with the number of workers totaling 100 by 2012, according to USCS. Established in 1889, USCS handles more than 6 billion pounds of temperature-sensitive products from domestic and international food companies per year. It has 30 refrigerated warehouses nationwide.
